The prestigious IAAF Diamond League returns this Friday 10 May, with Moscow-bound track stars Josh Ross (Vic) and Tristan Thomas (Tas) set to fly the Australian flag in the men’s 100m and men’s 400m hurdles respectively.  Set to join the world’s best athletes at the first of 14 meetings held across the globe in the coming months, the Doha (QAT) instalment this weekend provides the ideal international hit-out for Ross, who has been selected to compete in the 200m at the IAAF World Championships. The national champion Thomas will start in the one-lap hurdles after clocking a season best 49.56 at the Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Tokyo (JPN) on Sunday. Fresh off a new personal best of 4:30.76 in the mile, national 1500m champion Zoe Buckman (ACT) will next take to the track at the Oxy High Performance Meet where she will be joined by James Kaan (NSW, 1500m) and A-Qualified 10,000m charge Ben St Lawrence (NSW).
